The Balm Take Home The Bronze Oliver

I love The Balm cosmetics! Their packaging definitely is attractive and I cann't resist them. They all have Pin-up graphics and funny names, and their quality is great. Of course, The Balm company doesn't test on animals and has quite a lot of vegan products. Today I'll show you my favorite vegan bronzer, which will work great on lighter complexions.😊

Bronzer Take Home The Bronze is quite small, but it has quite a lot of weight - 7g. Its packaging is cardboard with magnetic closure and protects the product well from falls. To the surprise inside you find a small mirror. The cosmetic is small and light, so it can quietly accompany you in any trip.

The bronzer formula is very friendly. Powder quickly blends and despite the matte finish looks natural and healthy. Bronzer has pigmentation just right and doesn't make stains. And if you want a stronger effect, you can always add more product. The ribs get a natural effect most Like to apply it with a stippling brush and when I want to do more strong makeup I use a more precise brush in a conical shape.

The color of the bronzer is neutral and a little resembles cocoa. It's perfect for pale people. This shade also beautifully emphasizes blue eyes, so you can immediately use it as a shadow and when you rush in the morning to save time. :)
Bronzer keeps on my dry complexion all day and doesn't dry out the skin.

On the plus side there is also the composition of the bronzer, in which there is no paraffin.
In conclusion, I'm totally in love with Olivier from The Balm! ♡

My favorite makeup brushes | Vegan & Cruelty free

Today I invite you to a post showing my favorite makeup brushes.
I think good brushes make it easier to do your makeup, especially blending shadows or bronzer. In this post, I will show you the brushes that I reach for most often and are perfect for everyday makeup. I hope you'll find something that will interest you.

UltraPlush Professional Vegan Brush, Small Rounded Face

After this brush I reach every day, it's super soft. By its rounded shape and size, I like to use it most for powder, although brushes in such a shape will also be great for bronzer. It has scattered bristles, so it doesn't apply too much product and doesn't make any stains.

It's an egg-shaped brush, which making it very versatile. The brush has soft, delicate bristles. It's suitable for highlighter, blush, contouring or setting skin under the eyes. This brush has to be in my daily makeup, you can find it in this post about favorites.

For Your Beauty Contouring Brush

This brush is double-sided, one side is poohed and cut in a pin and the other is flat and cut straight. The pooh part is great for contouring or blush. The brush rubs the products well, and its bristles don't fall out and doesn't deform. The other side, I like to use for contouring the nose or cleaning up the bronzer lines.

E.l.f. Powder Blurring Brush

Despite the name, I like to use this brush for contouring or creamy products, although it also performs well as a foundation brush. Its rounded sides help to distribute the product evenly and the compacted bristles well paste the product into the skin.

Sense & Body, Girls Best Friend, Special Task Brush

This brush is a total HIT, suitable for powder and creamy products, it's affordable and really multitasking. It can be applied a primer, cream blush or bronzer, as well as powder products and when you hold the bristles with your fingers even highlighter. The brush has soft bristles and beautifully rubs every product.

Ecotools Wonder Color Finish Brush

Brushes from Ecotools are of very good quality, and the company takes care of ecology and uses biodegradable bamboo tree and recycled aluminum for their production. This brush works best for me to contour wet. It has compacted dense, bristles, and its shape is helping to distribute the product evenly.

For Your Beauty Shadow and concealer brush

It's another two-sided brush. On the one hand you find a poohbrush for blending shadows and on the other hand, angle concealer brush. I have to admit that I use the shadow side more often than to the concealer. It isn't bad, but I prefer to apply the concealer with a sponge. Both brushes are soft and nice to the touch. I use a shadow brush most often to apply bronzer to the eyelid when I'm in hurry, or to rub the first shadow in the eyelid. It isn't super precise, but it's useful for blurring the boundaries of shadows.

For Your Beauty set 2 precision eye brushes

In this set you'll find more precise brushes. One narrow type "skunks" and the other forging. The first has bristles of different lengths and is formed into the shape of a cone, which makes it perfectly rubbed shadows (especially those darker colors in the outer part of the eye). In turn, the puppet brush is compacted and good to the lower lash line or smudging the eye pencil on the eyelid. I also use it to illuminate the corners of the eye.

Maestro 231, liquid concealer brush

It's a very precise brush, in the shape of a very narrow ball. It's great for highlighting under the eyebrow or cover imperfections. The brush is very durable.

Maestro 660, Eyebrow Brush

This brush will work for eyebrows and for eyeliner. It's very thin and I've been looking for such a precise brush for a long time. It can be drawn with a sharp and thin line.

For Your Beauty Brush for Concealer

It's a typical concealer brush. I like to use it most to light up the skin under the eyebrows or to improve the shape of shadows if I distribute them too far.

Nyx Pro Angled Eyeliner Brush

The Nyx brush has a bent tip, making it easy to paint straight lines. It's smooth and slightly pointed. It's not that precise as a brush from Maestro, but it's great for slightly thicker dashes.

Girls Best Friend Shadow Blending Brush

It's another brush from Girls Best Friends and another Hit! It's super soft and fluffy. It's great for blending shadows in eyelid collapse, as well as for applying a highlighter.

Essence, Eyebrow Brush

The Essence brush surprised me with quality.. It was very caffordable, and it's really decent. It's narrow and has quite hard bristles. It's well suited for eyebrows and rubbing eye pencils to make eyeliner. I also like to use it to apply henna to the eyebrows.

HEBE PROFESSIONAL E05 brush for blurping the boundaries between shadows

Using this brush you'll create a very nice blur of color, without the need for strong rubbing. It has a slightly pointed shape that facilitates the exact blurring of the shadow in the refraction. It's super soft and certainly exceeds the quality of its low price.

HEBE PROFESSIONAL E06 smokey eyes brush

This brush is as good as the previous one. Shortly trimmed and flattened bristles allow perfect rubbing of shadows and crayons at the base of the eyelashes. It is equally well suited for painting the lower lash line.

Affordable and good under eye powder – Kobo Professional Under Eye Brightening Powder

Kobo Professional Under Eye Brightening Powder

Recently, in drugstores there are powders dedicated for under the eyes. They have a light texture, are very soft and most often have brightening properties. Today I’ll tell you about a great vegan powder from Kobo Professional. Kobo is cruelty free company.
Kobo Professional Under Eye Brightening Powder

What the manufacturer says:

Brightening and fixative eye powder.
The satatous formula visually smoothes wrinkles and illuminates the dark circles under the eyes.
It can be used on the concealer to fix it or directly on the skin, also the entire face.

Kobo Professional Under Eye Brightening Powder

My opinion:

Powder fits in a simple jar with a strainer. Its capacity is 6 grams. Fortunately, the packaging is sliding, so the powder doesn’t spill. However, the strainer has quite large holes, so you need to pour powder very gently. I put them away in 1/3 and pour it a little on the cap. The cap is small, but it fits a bigger powder brush in it.

The powder is very strongly ground and  smoothes the skin perfectly. Powder can be applied to the eyes as well as on the whole face. I usually apply it with a smaller brush under my eyes, and the larger one on the cheeks and forehead. It can also be applied with a sponge, but I recommend using it in a small amount, so that it doesn’t whiten the face.

The powder contains silica, which nicely dissipates light and smoothes wrinkles. Unfortunately, it also causes flashback, so it’s best to use powder for the day. If you want to use a powder for photos with a lamp, it will be best to mix it with a powder that has color.
Powder doesn’t emphasise lines and beautifully illuminates the area under the eyes (although there are no glitter particles). It keeps on the face all day and fortunately doesn’t dry out the skin.

Despite the small weight is very efficient, I have been using it every day for two months and I haven’t even consumed half the package.

What is your favourite powder?

Green News - ecology funding, melting Antarctica, spinach meat

Green News

The year 2020 continues and with it comes more events. Ecology is not vain. 😉 Below I have for you another list of the most interesting events related to this! :D

Amazon boss Jeff Bezos gave a grant of $10 billion for ecology.

The money is to be used for research and activist activities. This is to develop existing environmental efforts as well as the emergence of new solutions to combat the devastating effects of climate change on our planet. According to Jeff Bezos, the distribution of money from the Bezos Earth Fund will begin this summer. He also stressed that the fight would require the sharing of international organisations, national states, large corporations, small businesses and individuals. Previously, have allocated equally large sums for ecological purposes. Bill Gates, Michael Bloomberg and Tom Steyer.

Artificial chicken meat was grown at the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw.

The director of the science center Robert Frimhofer, inaugurating the festival "Transformations", tasted the spinach leaf on which chicken cells were grown. Stanislaw Łobuziak, who developed this unique delicacy, described the taste of the dish. He claims to have a seaweed consistency and a slightly sweeter aftertaste. Do not feel spinach and the taste of chicken in it, according to him it is a completely new taste. The advantage of this is that the breeding of such meat lasts only 3 weeks. You also do not need to slaughter animals, it is enough to take samples of the size of the pin head from them. The leaves raised in this way can be viewed in the Warsaw laboratory until October 6, 2020. It is not possible to try them, because Polish regulations do not specify the consumption of such dishes by humans.

In Rossman, Czech Republic, you can pour a gel into your own reusable packaging.

The company is heading towards zero waste in 10 drugstores in the Czech Republic is the ability to pour liquids directly into reusable bottles. The project was created in cooperation with Henkel. Specially purchased bottles can be filled with washing and care of the house as well as body gels. It isn't yet known whether the service will appear in Poland. For now, everything indicates that the solution is gaining popularity. The creators of the project announce that in the future cosmetics will also be added to it.

Wind and sun provided more electricity than coal.

For the first time in the EU, coal-produced electricity is smaller than by organic sources. The report reported that electricity consumption fell by 1.7% ( -56 TWh) as a result of which energy demand is equal from 2015. It was pointed out that a few years ago more coal energy was produced in the EU. Between 2010 and 2019, the share of coal in the energy sector decreased by 10% while wind farms and solar panels increased by 13%. An estimated increase by 14 GW in 2019 and solar installations by another 17 GW, twice as much as the year before. This led to coal's share of energy falling by as much as 24% (12% tonnes) in 12% of CO2 (120 million tonnes) emissions, the largest decline since 1990.

High temperatures in Antarctica cause further melting of ice and snow.

On February 6, 2020, temperatures in Antarctica exceeded 18 degrees Celsius, just as warm it was in Los Angeles that day. The heat wave caused the glaciers to melt rapidly. During warming 1.5 km2 surface was saturated with water. Never before has this happened in Antarctica. Although this event isn't so significant it's necessary to take into account that such events are happening more and more often.

Michael Mann calls for mobilization as in the case of world war to combat climate change.

According to the scholar, the US should take immediate action to combat climate change. In his words there was a lot of criticism against Donald Trump, who withdrew from the clean energy plan created during Barack Obama's tenure, with Trump again favoring the role of fossil fuels. According to Mann, further ignorance will lead to a climate catastrophe. Even some scholars say that climate change can no longer be stopped, we can at most prepare for the crisis that comes out of it. A lot of research indicates that our species is starting to die out as a result of the changes we have caused. According to these opinions, the peak of climate change occurred in 2030 as the average temperature on Earth will rise by 3 degrees by 2100, droughts will become more and more shaky. This will create increasing problems with food production (we can already see its rising prices) and maritime transport. Further changes on the planet will exacerbate further conflicts and the increasing spread of diseases. Unfortunately, appeals from people like Mann are often ignored by society, which is quite sad.. It is worth remembering that future generations will live in this, and probably not such a world we want to leave them.

Patryk :)
