Glowy makeup mist from drugstore – AA Hydro Fixer | Vegan & Cruelty-free

For a long time, I was looking for a vegan makeup mist that doesn’t contain alcohol and doesn’t dry the complexion. I also wanted the mist to give the skin a natural or glowy effect. A few months ago I found Hydro Fixer from AA. If you are curious what I’m think about it, I invite you to the post.

Glowy makeup mist from drugstore – AA Hydro Fixer | Vegan & Cruelty-free

AA WINGS OF COLOR HYDRO FIXER

What the manufacturer says:

Non-alcoholic moisturizing face mist and neckline with aloe extract. Moisturizes, refreshes and smoothes the skin. It is the optimal combination of care and refresher and fixer, which will help keep the makeup intact. It creates a shade and elastic coating on the face, allowing the skin to breathe. Aloe extract intensely moisturizes the skin, providing it with a fresh and radiant appearance.

Composition:

Glowy makeup mist from drugstore – AA Hydro Fixer | Vegan & Cruelty-free

My opinion:

I really like that the composition of the fixer  begins with aloe juice. Thanks to it, the mist actually moisturizes  and refreshes the complexion. You can put a mist after finishing makeup and during the day,but I sometimes use it as primer before applying makeup and in this role it also works well – moisturizes the complexion and slightly smoothes it.
Mist isn’t a typical extra-hold setting spray, rather a product that is designed to blend together face products and give the complexion a healthy look. It gives the skin a popular look of "dewy skin", which I really like. I wouldn’t say that it prolongs the durability of makeup. However, for the effect it gives and the price I can forgive it.
Fixer has a small packaging with not that bad mist. 3 to 4 sprays its enough to cover face.  My mist last 2 months, but I think it's an individual thing.
If you are looking for a mist to glowt up the complexion and give it a radiant look without particles of glitter then it is a hit! The mist quickly conquered my heart and will surely buy another one.

Do you like cosmetics from AA? :)

TOŁPA URBAN GARDEN HYDRO - PROTECTIVE SERUM FOR HANDS AND NAILS

I have always had a problem with dry hands, especially in the autumn-winter weather. Fortunately, since I discovered a hand serum from Tołpa  my hands look much better, they’re smooth and look healthy. And  most importantly,  the hands look nice even, if I use the cream only for the night. Serum strongly moisturizes and smoothes the skin, quickly absorbs and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling on the hands. I can also say that it’s efficient, I use it every day for two months and used up only half of the package.

THE BODY SHOP ALOE SOOLY EYE & LIP CREAM

The eye cream from The Body Shop has a pleasant gel texture that quickly absorbs and moisturizes the skin well. In the morning, I apply the cream with a thinner layer and it interact well with makeup products. In the evening, I like to apply a thicker layer of it and in the morning I wake up with nourished skin. The cream is placed in a comfortable package with an air-less pump,  which allows you to extract the cosmetic to the last drop and keeps its freshness longer. Cream doesn’t contains preservatives, dyes and scent, which is a big plus, because these ingredients can irritate delicate skin under the eyes. Aloe vera used to produce cream is obtained from campeche in Mexico with community trade cooperation.

THE BODY SHOP MORINGA

I don't know how I didn't mention on the blog about toilet water and moringa mist from The Body Shop. This is my favorite fragrance for several years! I've already used a good few packs of these perfumes and I have 3 in stock. :D Moringa has a fresh, delicate smell that I associate with purity. When I use it right away I have a lot of energy for a good start to the day.  It’s worth mentioning that the ingredients needed to produce fragrance are sourced from Brazil as part of community trade cooperation.

WANT LESS - KATARZYNA KĘDZIERSKA

"Want less" is full of advice and inspiration for people like me – who begin their adventure with minimalism. I like how the author explains the concept of minimalism and motivates the first steps. She doesn’t support minimalism of the type "have only 100 things" and shows well that the word minimalism for everyone means something different. She helps us understand what it means to us. If you want to familiarize yourself with minimalism, I recommend this  book to you. :)

SERIES GOOD OMENS

The end of the world is coming, which means that the habits of living on Earth the grim Angel and the hooligan Demon are forced to establish a strange alliance to stop Armageddon. Unfortunately, the Antichrist, an 11-year-old boy unaware that it was the destruction of the world, was on him. They need to find it and save the world before it's too late.
"Good Omens" is based on a book by Sir Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman of the same title.  While serial and film adaptations of books  are often difficult to meet readers' expectations, "Good  Omens" is a faithful reflection of the book. It’s full of comedic accents and a high dose of irony. And duo by David Tennant (Crowley) and Michael Sheen (Azirafal)  is wonderful. They perfectly felt the character of the person they played.  If you don’t know "Good Omen"  I encourage  you to watch this great series. 😊

What is your recent favorite? Maybe you watched some good movie or tv series?  :)

Gel with aloe vera for dry skin FlosLek

Aloe gel is a product that I always have to have at home. It is multifunctional and useful for care as well as in the regeneration of the skin. I use this gel under face cream, mix it with hair oil and sometimes with body cream. The gel absorbs quickly and the skin after its use is smooth and moistened.

Bielenda Vegan Friendly Karite Body Butter

You get body butter in a comfortable jar with a wide cap and when you open it you will feel a beautiful sweet smell. The cream has a dense consistency that takes a few minutes to absorb. Butter leaves a thin protective layer (it’s not sticky or disturbing), so it’s better to use it overnight. After its use, the skin is smooth, nourished and softened.

Essence Perfect Shine

The lipstick from Essence is perfect for everyday use. Lipstick has a gently shiny finish, looks natural and doesn’t dry the lips, even moisturizes it. It has a creamy consistency and it’s easy to apply. It's not super durable, but I treat it more as a colorized lip balm or lip gloss. For people with dry lips it's really grat! My shade is 05 Perfect Plan.
Price: 3€ / 3.5g

8 vegan cosmetics for less than 5 €

Catrice, Aqua Ink Lipiner

It's one of the best lip liners I've had. It’s super long lasting  and it’s very pigmented. It has the form of a pen, but its tip has little ball, which is easy to use. You can choose from 9 colors that are quite intense. Its only drawback is the small capacity behind which goes fast wear. My shade is 010  Attinude is everything and 020  Just follow your rose.
Price: 3€ / 1 ml

Do you know any of these cosmetics?

Ekos Moringa Hair Mask – Affordable Natural Hair Mask / Cruelty freel & Vegan

Ekos Moringa Hair Mask – Affordable Natural Hair Mask / Cruelty freel & Vegan
Ekos Moringa Hair Mask

If you like to use natural cosmetics, today's review  will certainly  interest you. I will tell you about    the hair mask with hydrolyzed moringa seeds protein from Ekos.  If you are curious about the mask, I invite you to the next part of  the post.

Ekos Moringa Hair Mask
I know moringa seeds thanks to toilet water from The body shop, which I really like, although I have heard about their good properties for a long time (lately they are very popular in dietary supplements), I have never used hair cosmetics with them in the composition.

Ekos hair mask contains hydrolyzed moringa seed proteins that will provide natural protection and care for your hair. It is ideal especially for hair damaged by dyeing or using dryers and exposed to atmospheric factors.
In particular, it owes its restoration effect to the presence of small-sized proteins, which are easily and quickly absorbed by the hair, bringing immediate effects. In addition, the product contains an extract from organic oats, which nourishes the hair deeply.
The combined action of these two ingredients adds volume to the hair and makes them soft, strong and shiny.

Ekos Moringa Hair Mask

What distinguishes ekos hair mask:

  • effectively moisturizes and strengthens hair, adds volume to them and makes them soft, strong and shiny,
  • dermatologically and also suitable for sensitive skin,
  • contains natural emolients - shea butter and sunflower oil,
  • has natural essential oils or natural odors recommended by certification bodies,
  • contains preservatives recommended by the organic certification bodies,
  • is tested for nickel, chromium and cobalt content <0.00004%,
  • large, cost-effective packaging, great performance.

Ekos Moringa Hair Mask

Ekos mask quickly stole my heart and I can safely call it my favorite hair product. Hair after its use is smooth and shiny. The mask is perfectly balanced and despite the high content of protein doesn’t dry the hair. I use them every two - three days from a month and it wonderfully moistened and nourished my hair and it’s very efficient. The mask is quite dense, so it’s enough to apply it a little to cover the medium length of the hair.

Ekos Moringa Hair Mask

The mask has a short but contenty and ecological composition:

Aqua (Water), Cetearyl Alcohol, Behenamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Butter*, Lactic Acid, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Coco-Caprylate, Hordeum Vulgare Seed Extract*, Parfum (Fragrance), Hydrolyzed Moringa Oleifera Seed Extract, Glycerin, Panthenol, Benzyl Alcohol, Dehydroacetic Acid, Linalool.

I really like that its packaging is large and made of plastic that can be donated to recycling. In my opinion, producing larger packaging is a good solution for ecology.
The mask is produced in Italy and is certified by The Vegan Society UK and  ICEA.

You can get a mask in the Better Land store
It is a modern ecological drugstore carried out in the spirit of zero waste.
It will find not only food and cosmetics, but also cleaning products, and hygienic products.
HERE you will find more organic hair masks. 😊

Creamy Daily Care Sacha Inchi – Vegan & Zero Waste

Creamy Daily Care Sacha Inchi – Vegan & Zero Waste
Creamy Daily Care Sacha Inchi

In today's post, I'll tell you about creamy face serum.  Creamy is a young Polish-Caribbean company, which bases its action on environmental care,  j abundance of raw materials, inthe iedzy  specialists and the selection of recipes for the individual needs of the skin. Their cosmetics are vegan and untested on animals, and packaging and shipping takes place in the spirit of zero waste.

Creamy Daily Care Sacha Inchi
Daily care serum is for normal, mixed and oily skin. It contains m.in.  sacha  inchi oil with a balanced composition with a regenerating effect, moisturizing extract from herbaceous salt, illuminating oil vitamin C and  lipohydroxyl acid to support adjustment of sebum levels.

A collage of exceptional components with extraordinary operation:

  • hemp oil, extremely rich in linoleic acid, a lightweight and nourishing ingredient that also helps to regulate  sebumlevels.
  • raspberry seed oil, provides the skin with protection against the negative effects of the external environment.
  • sacha inchi oil, contains a perfectly balanced composition with a regenerating effect
  • multifunctional vitamin C in a durable and stable form, adding radiance and youth complexion.
  • extract from herbaceous salt, plants with unusual adaptability in harsh environmental conditions, which has developed mechanisms to protect it from dehydration. On the skin it exhibits a moisturizing effect by stimulating internal water binding processes, obtained by  subcritical extraction OF CO2, which ensures high quality raw material approved by certification organizations:  Cosmos and Ecocert.
  • coenzyme Q10 called the "elixir of youth" to increase skin elasticity.
  • lipohydroxyl acid , a milder derivative ofsalicylic acid naturally occurring m.in. in the willow cortex with smoothing effect and supporting the adjustment of  sebumlevels.
  • A few drops of charming ashabs smell  will wrap your senses.

Composition:

Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil, Rubus Idaeus Seed Oil, Plukenetia Volubilis Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinesis Seed Oil, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Tocopherol, Helianthus Annus Seed Oil, Ubiquinone, Salicornia Herbacea Extract, Jasminum Sambac Flower Extract, Capryloyl Salicylic Acid, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Linalool*, Benzyl Alcohol*, Benzyl Benzoate*.

Creamy Daily Care Sacha Inchi
Daily Care Sacha Inchi serum is dedicated to  normal, mixed and oily skin,  but on my normal / dry complexion it also works great. It moisturizes it fantastically. Despite the oils in the composition doesn’t clog  the pores and quickly absorbs. The serum can be applied under the cream or separately instead of cream.  I usually put it on a sprayed face with a hydrolat, instead of cream for the night, and sometimes when I have a very dry skin I mix it with aloe gel and also use in the morning.

The serum has a very good natural composition  and dark glass packaging  with pipette, which looks very exclusive and elegant. When you unscrew the bottle you will feel the gentle smell of jasmine, which from the beginning I associate with green tea with jasmine. 😊

The serum is sold in 10 ml packaging  for 79 zł and 30 ml for 159 zł.
A 10 ml bottle should last for 30 days and larger for 3 months.
The serum is efficient, my version is 10 ml and I use it since mid-October and it's only now over.

I think it's really worth trying this serum. Creamy  also offers creams,  hydrolats  and oils and oil cheeses, including the very popular young cacayserum. I was interested in serum Nourishing Marula    and I think this will be my next purchase from Creamy. 😊

What is your favorite face serum?

Top 10 Most Exciting Environmental Stories

2019 was important for ecology. There have been many positive things that will change our lives and perhaps the fate of our planet. Therefore, I decided to list a few of them, and encourage you to continue to go in this direction in 2020  😊

Image from rawpixel.com

            Zero Waste Philosophy

It’s worth starting with the fact that it was a fantastic year for this zero waste philosophy, which became one of the hottest topics of 2019. There were plenty of publications, books, social media and industry statements. Thanks to the message of this philosophy appeared many reusable products, people began carrying their own cups to cafes or shoppingbags. Thanks to this initiative, garbage no longer has been as serious a social problem as before.

Image from rawpixel.com

Removing pacific garbage  "The Ocean CleanUp"

As we are already on the topic of dealing with garbage, it’s worth mentioning the bayan  Slata foundation program of a 25-year-old from the Netherlands who declared war a garbage dump the size of the US. The programme aims to catch waste networks then transport them ashore to use them for reuse and the revenue sought to further develop this ambitious project. He tells such a frame with a mesh is 610 meters. So far, 60 bags of garbage have been collected, according to the originator in 5 years the garbage island will halve. I think it's a great idea and shows that you don't have to represent any government or be rich to create something that gives you hope for a better tomorrow, sometimes just a little self-initiative and self-denial.  😉

   European Union will ban plastic

N
The new European Union provision on the prohibition of plastic cups, cutlery or straws as well as many other disposable items made of this plastic is also a good indication of the past year. The provision is expected to come into force in the coming years and is supported by the European Parliament. I keep my fingers crossed to succeed, because it will be a really revolutionary change! :D
Image from rawpixel.com

        Supporting ecology by famous people

It’s also worth mentioning the contribution of famous people to the activities to benefit our planet. Great example is  Leonadro  Dicaprio,  who donated $5 million to Amazon. The actor himself has earth alliance foundations to save ecosystems.

Image from rawpixel.com

        Large corporations are changing

In 2018, LEGO announced that plastic is being abandoned, but unfortunately, according to the ceo, this is not entirely possible. The problem is that the blocks from the font aren’t entirely biodegradable. Nevertheless, the company wants to consciously approach production issues. According to the company, they will still produce fully recigliding  and re-processing the packaging.   McDonald's  also wants to add its a few pennies  apart, and in early  2019 the restaurant chain began testing paper straws. There was also a protest against this company that opposes adding plastic toys to children's kits. The initiative is aimed at both  McDonald's  and  Burger King. It is also worth mentioning adidas which from recyclical plastic makes  shoes. In total, more than 25 companies have started to change so far, this is definitely positive information  😊

Image from rawpixel.com

         Beyond Meat

Restaurants with fastfood  began to give artificial meat to their burgers, the idea itself was quite warmly received. The taste of such a burger is the same as the usual ones. This type of dishes can be found at  McDonald's,  Burger King or Pizza Hut. It’s also planned to replace it completely, which will undoubtedly translate positively into the environment of our planet.

Image from rawpixel.com

         Vatican is plastic-free

I used to write about it HERE and I still think it's one of the most important "eco change of 2019"  😊 I’m really pleased that the smaller world country has announced that it wants to be decarbonised, and to give up 98% of plastic. It’s also worth considering the fact that the Vatican produces food itself and is fully sufficient. I think that in this regard it should be an example for other European countries and more.

Image from rawpixel.com

     Headphones from mushrooms

Korvaa  has created headphones that instead of being made of plastic, leather, etc. They are made of mushrooms, Bio plastic and fine lysis regimes. This is so revolutionary change that in the future it will be possible not to use plastic when making electronics. For now, it remains to keep our fingers crossed for other companies to follow  this.

Image from rawpixel.com

         Tyres without air

The very concept of such tyres isn’t new because the idea itself has more than a decade (interestingly, the first such initiatives were already taken in the 19th century). The tyre consists of an aluminum rim and instead of filling the air, spoke, their task is to maintain the weight of the vehicle and maintain the same performance as with the standard tyre. The advantage of these tyres is that they are not passable and adapt to any surface. For ecology, this means that this innovation is expected to significantly reduce the annual number of tyre replacements (by more than 200 million).

Vlovo rents Christmas trees for the holidays

Volvo encouraged this year to spend holidays more environmentally friendly. In selected salons on 19-23 December, you could rent a live Christmas tree in a pot, and by January 8, it should be returned, after which it will be planted in the forest. It’s also worth mentioning that the car manufacturer for every 1 tree has pledged to plant 10 more. The whole initiative aims to forest more land, which translates into more oxygen production. The company itself  has already organized this type of events several times. The idea itself was met with the approval of the Swedish ambassador who finds that the idea is simple and at the same time warm, joyful and family.

As you can see last year was really interesting, there were also many more good initiatives of this type I think that books could be written haha 😊 I wish you a successful year 2020 and maybe  you will change something for the better, which I wish you with all my heart! :D

Patryk 😊
