Revolution Pro Full Cover Camouflage Concealer vs. NYX Gotcha Covered Concealer - Vegan & Cruelty Free

Revolution Pro Full Cover Camouflage Concealer vs. NYX Gotcha Covered Concealer

In today's post I would like to compare two similar concealers Revolution Pro Full Cover Camouflage Concealer and NYX Gotcha Covered Concealer. Both concealers are highly opaque, have similar packaging and a close price. If you want to know which I think is better I invite you to the rest of the post.

Revolution Pro Full Cover Camouflage Concealer

Revolution Pro Full Cover Camouflage Concealer

Manufacturer's Description:

A well pigmented concealer for the face in a comfortable tube.
The product has a high degree of opacity that hides all skin imperfections.
Concealer covers redness, discoloration, cracked capillaries, scars.
The product also allows to cover the tattoo on the skin.
Concealer provides perfect, long-lasting makeup.

My opinion:

I'll start with the concealer from Revolution Pro. It has 18 shades to choose from! I’ll describe my summer shade – C5, but I know that Makeup Revolution has lighter shades. I already had a concealer in the shade C1 and it had a nice, neutral light color.

The Full Cover concealer is really full cover. After I use it my dark circles disappear in a minute. It has a fairly creamy, dense texture that needs to be powdered in order not to emphasize the wrinkles. The concealer on my dry skin looks very healthy, its finish is quite "shiny".  I really like how this product looks on my skin for the first few hours, but unfortunately after 4-5 hours it starts to looks cakey and very strongly fall into the wrinkles.

I also tried to use it as a base for eyeshadows, but unfortunately after a few hours the shadows looks oily and descend from the eyelids.

The concealer has 8.5 ml and after opening it must be used in 6 months.

Price: Approx. $ 5-8 / 8.5 ml

 NYX Gotcha Covered Concealer

NYX Gotcha Covered Concealer

Manufacturer's Description:

The ' Gotcha ' Covered Concealer will always hide you! Our concealer now has 10 great shades and is waterproof. It effectively concees all blemishes and imperfections without crushing and driping. Thanks to the coconut oil content, our concealer perfectly spreads and gives the face a healthy look.

My opinion:

The concealer from Nyx has a little less shades to choose from and unfortunately a worse choice of colors for darker girls. In turn, it seems to me that shade Alabaster GCC00 is lighter than the C1 from Revolution Pro. It’s light enough that even in winter I can brighten with it my under eyes.

The concealer has a very good opacity and doesn’t dry the skin (even under the eyes).  It blends well and just a little bit of it covers pretty well the imperfections or shadows under the eyes. Likewise, the Revolution corrector has a creamy, dense texture.
The Nyx concealer also looks healthy on my skin, however it has a more satin finish from the concealer from Revolution. This product lasts longer on the skin, but at the end of the day it no longer looks so fresh and healthy.

As a base for the shadows, it tones down the eyelid color and maintains the shadows, but I think that people with oily eyelids won’t like it.

The concealer has 8 ml and after opening it must be used in 12 months.

Price: approx. $ 9 / 8 ml

Revolution Pro Full Cover Camouflage Concealer vs. NYX Gotcha Covered Concealer

Summary:

Each of the concealers are very efficient and quite opaque. Both products look best applied with a finger or a sponge. Each of them must be powdered and despite this, aren’t super long lasting. If I had to choose between them I would have decided on a concealer from Nyx, which is a little more long lasting on me.
However, none of these products are that good that I bought it again. I think I’ll use them up. And look for a natural concealer or  buy the next pack of the Makeup Revolution Fast Base, which has a good opacity and a lighter formula (but unfortunately it has a much smaller capacity and ends quickly).

What is your favorite concealer?

Vegan hair dye – Herbatint 7C ash blond

18 October

Vegan hair dye – Herbatint 7C ash blond

Do you dying your hair or you rocking natural color. I dyed my hair for a variety of colors from when I was  in high school. I had black, red, ginger, light blonde, violet and pink hair. I recently  dyed them little lighter, but I wanted to return to the natural color - the dark blond. In order to achieve the intended effect I chose vegan, natural dye  Herbatint in the shade of 7C ash blond. If you want to see the effects I invite you to the second part of the post.

Manufacturer's Description:

Herbatint – A natural, herbal, durable hair dye. 40 years of experience has allowed the development of a unique recipe, thanks to which a harmonious combination of minimal quantity of chemicals with plant and herb extracts has been achieved. The result is a hair dye that not only gently and permanently dye your hair, but also nourives it, protects and cares

Without ammonia, parabens, resorcin, heavy metals, alcohol, SLS, gluten.

The recipe is based on herbal extracts and proteins, ammonia harmful for hair tissue has been replaced with rosemary, quinseed and walnut shell to gently release the dye. Heavily reduced chemical components make tea int suitable for people prone to allergies and people paying special attention to the safety and well-being of hair.

It doesn’t destroy hair, gives a natural glow and shine.

My opinion:

The packaging is simple and transparent, you can see on it a shade of dye, no gluten sign, FSC certificate and PETA Bunny. In the box we find a tube with a colouring cream, a bottle of emulsion, conditioner, shampoo, gloves and instructions.

The dye has gel consistency and it is efficient. To dye my hair I used almost whole packaging. It has a delicate composition, which didn’t irritated my skin, nor caused allergies during the test.
After rinsing the dye and using the supplied conditioner, the hair was smooth and soft to the touch.

Before and after

Effect:

The dye cooled my hair color and slightly darken it, now my natural hair don’t cut off from the lighten part. I really like the color and the hair look very shiny. The dye didn’t destroy or dry them.

What is your favorite hair dye?

Box 5/30 October Edition – Zero Waste & Vegan

17 October

Box 5/30 October Edition – Zero Waste & Vegan

Do you love cosmetic boxes? I've never been a fan of them. Most of them aren’t eco-friendly and unfortunately often the cosmetics that they offer aren’t cruelty free. But I have great news for you, recently you can buy a zero waste box with cosmetics! On this brilliant idea fell Gosia and Majk from 5 /30. Not only have they thought about caring for ecology, they also care about animals and compose boxes so that the products are cruelty-free.

Nourishing Sugar Scrub - cranberry

It contains natural active ingredients in the form of shea butter, coconut oil and cranberry oil, which are delicate for the skin. In addition to the properties of exfoliating cosmetic, the body after its application becomes velvet smooth, deeply moistened and cleaned.

This peeling is fantastic! After its use, the skin is smooth and nourifed, I don’t feel need to cream it anymore. Its scent is gorgeous, sweet and fruity, I’m always feel like eating it.

SERUM OLEJOWE DAILY CARE SACHA INCHI

A Serum for daily care of normal, combination and oily skin. 100% of active ingredients.
Contains m.in. Sacha InChI Oil with a balanced composition with regenerating effect, moisturizing extract of herbaceous solider, illuminating oil vitamin C and lipohydroxyl acid to support the regulation of sebum level.

I use this serum for a few days, but I enchaned me enough, with sure to write a separate review about it. It has a great composition and has helped to nourish my dry ski. But I will say more about it when I use up the whole bottle, which should take around 30 days.

Coconut Water Ajeden

Coconut water nourishes, moisturizes, improves hair and skin vitality and is effective in alleviation of many skin problems, including eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and dandruff.
It also promotes the treatment of cold sores, accelerates healing time, relieves pain and reduces the risk of scars or discoloration. After the distillation process, which has traditionally been made hot steam on the surface of the hydrolatum floats a small amount of coconut oil. Unlike the rules in the production of hydroalts, this oil is not separated but left in the hydrolate. This makes the organic coconut hydrolic extremely original and rich in various nutrients and increases its care qualities.

Coconut water is completely new to me, but it has been in my care every day.
I use it before hair oil and I also sprinkler it on my face in the morning and evening after washing it. I noticed that after using it, the moisturizer absorb quicker and I feel that my skin I more nourished than usual.

Shampoo in bar

Created without the use of raw materials of animal origin and in the spirit of Zero Waste-here is a natural shampoo bar.
It is suitable for everyday use and for vegans and for all types of hair-that is, actually for everyone. Packaging? You have to get used to the Saponish cube-it does not generate unnecessary garbage:)
Shampoo is efficient and abundant in foam, while doing what the shampoo should do-cleansed. And all this with the addition of citrus, energetic smell. It quickly washes and shine hair without greasy them. It acts as a lift, lifting it at the roots and thicking it with castor oil.

Unfortunately, I haven't used shampoo yet, but waiting in line for testing. 😉

CottonFlower bag

CottonFlower is a company that produces organic reusable food pouches (and more). Bags are sewn in Poland with 100% cotton. Their mission is to organically plastic bags  and replacing them with a reusable and durable bag.

This is a very cool cotton bag, I have already used it for shopping. Such zero waste accessories always come in handy. The pouch need little space and it found a home in my purse. Now I won’t forget it. 😉

I’m very pleased with the October edition.

The price of the box is 139 pln and only the cosmetics are worth 210 pln.

If you want to purchase the November edition is now available on the 5/30 website

xoxo,
Dorota
